As you may know, I am a woeful, rotten, no good sinner. But now that I have turned 40 and despite my inherently bad nature and propensity to do stupid and sophomoric things, I have acquired a wee bit of wisdom in my 40 years. I don’t know what propels me to say this but……

A lot of folks are talking about being hooked on watching the Jeffrey Dahmer series on Netflix. As rotten and no good as I am, I think I would be more rotten, no good and woeful if I watched this kind of stuff. I taught myself a long time ago to stay away from the “dark” elements of popular culture. Personally, I think the Evil One is the propagater of such rot. He doesn’t want you looking towards the Light, he desires you to be trapped in darkness. This stuff gives him a toe hold inside of you and plasters you with a filmy despair that drags you down, which is what he wants. You need the “armor and shield” to protect yourself.

I see people struggling w addiction and other issues who tell me they watch this stuff and it saddens me because it makes it much harder for them to come into union with the one source of the universe that can envelope them in love and heal them.
